OUR POLICIES
CODE OF CONDUCT
Monarch Park Model United Nations is committed to provide a safe and welcoming space for all delegates and staff. We abide by the TDSB's Human Rights Policy which prohibits any form of discrimination and/or harassment. All staff and delegates attending MOCRISIS 2023 are expected to be respectful and thoughful of other attendees, and immediately report any instances of discrimination or harassment they are aware of.
Any acts of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.
MEDIA RELEASE AGREEMENT
By signing up for and attending MOCRISIS 2023, all delegates and staff consent to being photographed or videotaped by our media team, and for all such media to be published on MOCRISIS's social media accounts, promotional materials, and other conference-related publications.
As we are hosted on a TDSB school, all delegates will be following the TDSB Media Release Policies. If you are registering from a non-TDSB School, please fill out the TDSB Media Release Form and attach as a pdf to the Spreadsheet as indicated (one for each delegate): https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/Portals/glenravine/docs/mediareleaseform.pdf.
TECHNOLOGY
Due to the nature of the TDSB's technology policies, and our wanted inclusion of non-tdsb delegates, no technology will be permitted to aid with resolution/directive writing, paper submission, or note passing in all committees. Printed notes about the delegate's position, position paper, and the background/character guide are allowed.
DRESS CODE
All delegates are highly encouraged to wear business-appropriate Model UN attire; however, no strict dress code will be enforced.
POSITION PAPERS
Position Papers will NOT be required to attend MOCRISIS, nor will they be required to win awards. Delegates will still be allowed to send in position papers for their respective committees should they be seeking practice for other conferences.
